Creating layout/reports in SAP BW

Hi all , we hv a question on creating reports in SAP BW. In our SAP ECC there is a non-standard report created by report writer. It has the follwing layout.:

In order to hv this structure/layout in BEx report we create "IDs" and assign them to the figures.

For example:

ID '1' = Total

ID '2' = Net Operating in ..

ID '3' = EBITDA

ID '4' = Revenue

.....

etc.

In query designer we can sort acending by these IDs and in Bex will have the following structure/layout which works fine:

My question: Is there any other way or recommendation apart from creating and assigning "IDs'  in order to have a specific layout in BEx
?
