Filter before Reading Cube as Datasource for APD

Hi Experts ,

Is there a possibility to apply Value based filter on a specific column before Reading the Infocube as Datasource in an APD ?

Of course i can use filter step after cube , but in that case it will use entire read for cube first and then flter.

Any suggestions or workarounds are welcome!!

In case anyone has done performance optimization with Cbe as source in APD.

I checked the following link : Theoretical approach to Improve the Performance of APDs

But it only recommends partitioning before use.
