Deduction of characteristic nodes of hierarchy into master data of 0COSTCENTER

Hello

We have a hierarchy on 0COSTCENTER.

As you can see on top there are characteristic nodes, thereunder text nodes and beneath of these nodes the appropriate values of cost centers.

Now we would like to deduct only these characteristic nodes into a new attribute of 0COSTCENTER; the name of the new attribute is "business area".

Is there an option to realize this without ABAP?

My initial idea was to create a self-transformation 0COSTCENTER->0COSTCENTER and therein an endroutine with the ABAP coding deducting the right characteristic values of "business area" into the new attribute of 0COSTCENTER.

But do you see another option how to realize this special requirement?
