Hello, I have a question. I was trying to create a datasource on this one table which is a transparent table but getting this message:
"Invalid extract structure template XXXX of Datasource XXXXX"

 

so I checked and found some unit fields coming from MARA table so i created a view and added MARA table to the view and everything got active.

I tried to extract and the data keep coming, even though the main table only has 100,000 entries. can some one tell me how to fix this?

 

I am trying to create a view on table QBEW so i can build my datasource on top.

DTP load is running long time at "Updating to Infocube substep"

Dear Experts,

 

We are facing a situation when we do a full load from cube to cube and the load is taking long time at Updating to Infocube -> Overlapping check with archived data areas for Infoprovider step. Usually this load will complete very faster and we suddenly encountering this problem. I searched SDN posts but i couldn't get a positive answers.

 

Could anybody tell me the reason why it is happening and suggest me how can I avoid such situation..

 

Note: the target cube is having delete overlap request so only one request is available in a time for reporting.

How to see all objects of a process chain and its load performance

Hi Friends,

 

I need to generate a report of all the data loads happening in the BW system, transaction and Master data.

 

I should be able to see the load right from data source, Info package all the way up to the Info cube(including the No of records transferred, number of records loaded, time taken for the load) All the objects i can find in a process chain. However in the meta chain there are lot of objects, so its a major task to take a note of all this.  I am wondering if there is any table which will be able to provide me with all this information.

 

Please let me know if how i can do this.

Currency conversion issue at Query level

Hello,

 

We are facing an issue with the currency conversions at the report level.

 

I have browsed various forums and got a good document. http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a0d5bf96-b19b-2c10-e3b6-e2f12a3de99a?quicklink=index&… which explains various ways of conversions.

 

However, when I tried to relate it to the issue that we are facing; I am missing something. Please advise me, how can I proceed.

 

ISSUE:

 

'Net Value' Keyfigure in report is not getting converted from USD (Document currency) to CAD (Local currency).

 

Checks that we did:

 

1) In T-code RSCUR, we checked the exchange rate type which is already created say 'ZSDP'. We checked the settings within :

 

Source currency : Currency of source record (I understood that, whatever the currency in source datarecord will be taken) - Correct me.

Target currency : CAD (Source currency will be converted to CAD)

Time reference tab - In this, Invoice date Characteristic is being used (Based on this Invoice date char. Exchange rate type works) - Correct me.

 

2) In Query level, we checked the 'Net Value' Keyfigure properties and ZSDP is being used. So, I understand that - currency USD should be converted to CAD at Query execution level.

 

3) Additionally, i checked - Info cube entry for a Particular billing document & Entry in ODS level. Where we have Document currency as USD and Local currency as CAD. (I mentioned this because, i read that Doc. currency is created while transaction is created in ECC and Loc. currency is the actual currency into which the conversion should happen).

 

I am unable to figure out, where exactly the issue lies. The Exchange rate type 'ZSDP' that i mentioned used to work before say ;XYZ Release. Now, it is not.

 

Also, let me know if I can write a code or use an FM in field routine for that 'NET VALUE' keyfigure. I am not very sure on this part, if I can write code related to keyfigure. I am also attaching screenshots blurring business info.

 

Please provide me valuable inputs.

How to delete data from DSO if deleted from Source system for generic exctractor

Hi to all,

 

Please can any one share some light on below senerio.

 

We have a generic extractor and based on time satamp field we are geting delta to DSO in BI.

 

Now if in source system if we delete some data, then how this will be captured in as 'D' image, so it can delete data from DSO in BI ?.

 

Is there any way we can write any program in generice extractor or any BADI can be sued for this purpose to get 'D' image in BI ?.

 

or any other way also ?.

get bidders scores from srm to bw

Hi Experts,

 

We have SAP SRM 7.0 and SAP BW 7.4 SP02.I need to make reports on bidders scores by RFx number ....

 

The scores are calculated in the SRM system automatically by using criteria and weighting ...

 

I have already searched in the BI Content 7.4, the Bidding engine scope does not seem feel our need...

 

Can you suggest any BI Content (DataSource, DSO ...) that extract information about bidders scores from SAP SRM to BW system. If there is no Standard BI Content, the source tables where SAP SRP save data about bidders scores would be helpful.

Process chain fail but it does not go on

Hello,

 

I have a process chain that failed because of an inactive DTP (so I get a dump).

The issue is that the process has failed the the entire process chain was stopped even that the process has "on success" and "on failure".

 

In the morning when I opened the log of the process chain, I get a message that there was an issue and the process chain started again with the "on failure".

 

As anyone would have an idea why this would happen ?

If I want to add a z infoobject to the 0country infoobject (z infoobject organize countries in groups) my question is, how do I establish the relationship between 0country and the attribute? With a hierarchy?

Increase number of records between 2 infocubes

Hi experts,

 

I have a development to perform. Unfortunately the number of records in development environment isn't sufficient enough to allow me doing significant tests.

 

I would like to have at least 2 packages of 50.000 records. Now I have only 180 records in my source infocube.

 

To simplify, let’s say that my infocube has 3 fields (field 1 is the key)

I thought about adding an supplementary field that I will increment until reach 100.000 records.

Errors while job time exceeds.

Hi All,

 

We are loading the data from different layers and jobs can be viewed in SM37. I just want to know where to check the maximum time setted for the each job. Please provide some TCode to find out the Max time.

 

And also, what are the errors we get in BI usually will get if the time limit exceeded.

 

Pls provide.

Splitter control problem (cannot resize frame in DW Workbench)

Hi,

 

in RSA1, whenever I open the monitor for a DTP or infopackage, click on the monitor icon, enter date selection to retrieve past loads, and hit execute, I get the list of requests in a very narrow frame that I cannot read anything from it. I can resize the tree window or pane (where I have the list of info-providers) to the left, and I can also resize the navigator (modeling), but i cannot resize the 3rd window that opens when I try to see history loads that were executed for a DTP or I/P. Attached is a screenshot. I hope anyone can give me some tips. Thank you!

load DSO to DSO (only one work process)

Bom dia,

 

Hi experts.

I´ve a problem with load DSO to DSO. Occurs that this process only run with one work process.

 

Things that I already done:

- changed the DTP to 8 (5, 7, 9 even 15) in “Settings for Parallel Processing”;

- changed job class to A;

- deletion all filters;

- changed the Package size (100,000 – 10,000 or 1,000);

- changed “error handling” all of options (update tab);

- deletion and recreated the object DTP;

- Changed “extraction mode” Delta to full and vice-versa.

 

And I spoke to the Basis guy, but he is a lazy people, so he doesn’t want to help me. So I must discovery where I see this configuration to show him, what he must do.

DTP running for too long without any processing of datapackage

Hi Friends,

 

DTP load to DSO is taking very long. There were no Idocs stuck, no DB locks. There are enough processes to finish the job.

I have increased number of parallel process but nothing works. Please suggest. This is happening after ECC upgrade. All other loads works fine except FI Load.

0Employee Extraction in to BI

Hi All,

 

 

        I am trying to extract 0employee infoobject(employee_attr and Employee_text) while extracting employee_attr  i am finding a strange problem..

 

 

           1)i have created a info pak and triggered now i am getting data of 1.5 lakh records actual employees are around 10000, after i figured there are entries of transfer of this and that department for employee. So I filtered with Date_to=31.12.9999 and emp id = 200000 between 299999,then i am getting around 16152 records.

 

            now i got 16k records in my info pak, then i created a DSO as employee table having 34 info objects.... i linked and triggered DTP with restriction Date_to=31.12.9999 and emp id = 200000 between 299999 i got 16125 records which are less than my Info pak records..

 

           " i removed filter and triggered DTP then i am getting 1.5 lakh records......"  my biggest doubt is in my info object there are only 16000 records after triggering info pak.............. but how come i got 1.5 lakh records iin my DSO if i am not using and filter option...

 

can  any one solve my confusion..... and let me know if any steps i missed and where i m going wrong....

ABAP Dump while opening New Data Table of a DSO

Hi All ,

 

I am facing an issue with a DSO. When I am trying to access the New Data of that DSO I am getting an ABAP dump. When the data is getting activated in the DSO, it fails for a field FISCPER.

 

I was trying to check the New data and find out the discrepancies and then can filter out them and start the loads. I cannot check the source DSO as well because FISCPER field is not present in the source DSO. It's getting calculated via a function module in the end routine.

 

Can you please help me if there are any ways to avoid this dump error so I can check the data ? request your quick response.

BW connection error

Hi,

 

I installed GUI in system, I am able to connect the BI server from GUI.

 

But when I am logging to Bex Excel analyser or crystal getting the following error.

St13 process chain record count

Long Runtimes and short dump while posting data from PSA to ODS

Hi,

 

I am trying to pust 400000 records from PSA to ODS and after running for 3 to 4 hrs it is failing. When we check the short dump it says.

 

Information on where terminated
   Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_RSSM_STATMAN_TARGET_ODSO===CP" -
    in "IF_RSBK_DATAPACKAGE_OBSERVER~UPDATE_STATUS_TABLES".
   The main program was "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS ".

   In the source code you have the termination point in line 104
   of the (Include) program "CL_RSSM_STATMAN_TARGET_ODSO===CM007".
   The program "CL_RSSM_STATMAN_TARGET_ODSO===CP" was started as a background job.
   Job Name....... "BIDTPR_329350_1"
   Job Initiator.. "XXXXSSBI"
   Job Number..... 14215700

 

We tried several times still it is failing. When I check the process I see that it is taking long time on RSBKDATA_V table access. We are on SAP BW7.0 Support pack 23.
